British Values

How do we prepare our young people for life in modern Britain at Thrybergh Academy and Foljambe Campus?

1. British Values:

The government places responsibility on all schools to promote 'fundamental British values' of:

  • Democracy
  • The rule of law
  • Individual liberty
  • Mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs

2. SMSC Development:

  • Spirtual
  • Moral
  • Social
  • Cultural

Alongside these values, which we prefer to describe as 'fundamental universal values', we promote the values of the Thrybergh Character (PRIDE):
