TA Science Club

Our first Science Club session of 2026/27 at Thrybergh Academy explored the theme ‘Is There Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Real World?’

Students investigated how chemical reactions can be used to create special effects like those seen in films such as Harry Potter and Hocus Pocus. They took part in practical experiments exploring metals, colour-changing reactions and pH indicators. To finish, students created their own witch and wizard potions using food colouring, glow-in-the-dark rocks and potion jars, bringing their imaginations to life. Well done!
