The Pride of Yorkshire is now live! A talented group of Thrybergh Academy students have created their very own lion sculpture, Professor Paws, in collaboration with the University of Sheffield to celebrate 150 years of Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Working alongside the illustration team from Sheffield Hallam University, students designed lions based on a variety of themes and creative prompts. Each design was transformed into a sticker, with over 2,000 stickers used to decorate the sculpture, ensuring every student’s artwork was included.
Professor Paws is now on display at the Sheffield Business School, Langsett Building on Howard Street, Sheffield, until 7th September. A huge congratulations to all the students involved. Their creativity, teamwork, and hard work have resulted in a truly fantastic sculpture that everyone can be proud of!
