TA Science Club

This week at Science Club, students completed their final STEM Technician Challenge, taking on the role of Country Rangers. Using their knowledge of pH, plants, animals, and habitats, the pupils carried out a range of practical investigations to identify the best environments for wildlife. They collected and examined soil samples under microscopes, tested soil pH levels, recorded the plants and animals they found, and considered how different habitats could be improved to support biodiversity.

To finish the challenge, students built their own mini pitfall traps and habitats to investigate the wildlife in the local environment. It was a fantastic hands-on session that encouraged scientific thinking, teamwork, and a greater understanding of conservation. Well done to everyone who took part!
