In Science Club this week, students continued their learning about different types of technicians and their roles in the world. They began by completing their work as Concrete Technicians, testing the strength of the concrete blocks they made last week. They also learned how adding materials such as metal frames can improve the strength and durability of concrete, helping to support the construction of buildings.
The students then moved on to a Dentist Technician challenge. Using dry clay (Play-Doh) as gums, they shaped wax into different types of teeth using tools such as pliers and followed a data sheet to guide their designs. They also compared and discussed the different teeth shapes within their groups before placing them into the “gum” model. Well done!
