This week in Science Club, students began the STEM Challenge. They started by completing surveys and exploring the start-up resources, identifying what they will need to research over the coming weeks to prepare for the competition and build their knowledge.
They then investigated how to create “Elephant’s Toothpaste”. Students experimented with different amounts of yeast and warm water mixed with hydrogen peroxide to see which combination produced the best reaction and the most impressive foam. There were some fantastic results! Even when things didn’t go to plan, students showed great determination and perseverance to improve their experiments.
