TA Science Club

This week in Science Club, students took part in two exciting activities.

  • First, they explored the science behind tie-dyeing clothing, scrunchies, and bags. By experimenting with different dyes, students learned how colours can be changed to create unique, eye-catching designs, while also considering how colour and design can influence people’s choices when buying items.
  • Students also had the chance to plant winter flowers in compost. These will grow over the coming months before being transferred outside, joining the summer flowers that were planted earlier in the year and have flourished beautifully.

As always, everyone who attended received a raffle ticket for the STEM/Science Club Attendance Raffle Wheel, which will be drawn at Christmas.

STEM/Science Club aims to make learning fun while showing how science links to everyday life and other important skills like maths and technology. Information about upcoming activities can be found on social media, our new Google Classroom, and the science noticeboards along the corridor.

Over the years, students have developed teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience by taking on different challenges – and we can’t wait to see even more growth this year.

See you all next week for the next challenge!
