This week in Science Club, students began their first STEM Technician Challenge. They were tasked with designing and testing their own kites using materials such as wood, cotton, and plastic bags. Alongside this, they learned about the role of a technician in the navigation industry and applied their science knowledge of forces to help them decide the best design for flying in the wind.
The students built their kites and tested them outdoors, making improvements and adjustments along the way to help them perform better. Everyone worked really well and produced some successful designs through careful testing and teamwork. Well done, everyone!
