This week in Science Club, students continued exploring different STEM careers by taking part in a Veterinary Nurse challenge. After learning about the role of veterinary nurses and technicians, the pupils discussed how vets help injured animals and the treatments they might use to support the healing process. They then put their learning into practice by completing a hands-on activity, carefully using needle and thread to “stitch” a wound they had created in a banana.
The pupils were highly engaged throughout the session and produced some excellent results. It was fantastic to see everyone trying their best and developing new skills. We look forward to seeing everyone next week for an activity planned by our Science Leaders!
