Recently, Y9 students enjoyed a History-themed trip to London, visiting the iconic Tower of London and attending the acclaimed musical, Six. This trip was a great example of the Wickersley Partnership Trust Enrichment Promise, offering students valuable learning experiences beyond the classroom.
During their visit to the Tower of London, students explored its fascinating history, including the Crown Jewels and the historic White Tower. They also learned about the legends and superstitions surrounding the ravens that live there.
The group later spent time in Covent Garden, where they enjoyed some free time to explore and purchase food before heading to the Vaudeville Theatre. There, they watched Six, a critically acclaimed musical that reimagines the stories of Henry VIII’s six wives through a modern and empowering perspective.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Their behaviour throughout the day was exemplary, and they were a real credit to the school. Well done to all involved!
