Curriculum Model

Thrybergh students follow a curriculum outlined by the government but adapted to ensure they reach their full potential. We know that not every student is the same. To achieve the best from our students we identify their needs and endeavour to fulfil them.

Therefore, students are grouped based on ability and their lessons are designed to not only meet their needs but ensure they feel challenged and engaged.

All students follow a timetable of 20 lessons per week. Each lasting 75 minutes.

In Y8, students will have the opportunity to choose their two favourite subjects within Creative Arts and have one lesson per week of each.

In Y8, students will study their core subjects alongside the subjects they have chosen as their options. All students are expected to study full Ebac suite of History, Geography and Spanish but those who require additional support will be withdrawn from form one or more of these subjects to receive additional lessons of Literacy and Numeracy.
