Cupcakes for Alzheimers

Three of our students have successfully raised a grand total of £191.20 for the Alzheimer's Society. Rebecca, Leah and Rosie baked and sold cupcakes to raise vital funds for the cause as part of Cupcake Day.

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia. The word dementia describes a set of symptoms that can include memory loss and difficulties with thinking, problem-solving or language. These symptoms occur when the brain is damaged by certain diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Named after the doctor who first described it (Alois Alzheimer), Alzheimer’s disease is a physical disease that affects the brain. Please visit the Alzheimers Society website for more information on dementia

Well done girls .... and Miss Lever for supporting them in this endeavour. We're proud of you all!
