P.T.A NEWS

What is a Parent Teacher Association?

It’s simply a group of people who are all keen to get involved in the community of the school. We organise events to raise money to pay for extra school equipment and resources. It’s also about having fun, and we run a varied programme of social events both for ourselves and the children. Various teachers are also involved and bring a great deal of expertise and knowledge with them, though the Association is very much parent-led.

What happens in atypical P.T.A meeting?

Ideas are discussed at our meetings, held roughly every term. As a group we decide which ones we want to take forward, and a small group is formed (a sub-committee in effect) to work out the real detail.
