A high standard of personal appearance is important at Thrybergh Comprehensive. We encourage our students to take a pride in their own personal appearance.
Compulsory School Uniform

Any problems with uniform should always be discussed with the students form tutor or Year Manager. Students may be withdrawn from lessons if not wearing correct uniform.
Parents will be contacted if students are frequently wearing non-uniform clothing.
In the interest of personal safety, hygiene and security the only jewellery allowed to be worn in school, apart from a wristwatch, is one pair of small stud earrings. All other body piercing jewellery and decorative jewellery is not allowed to be worn in school. This includes tongue bars and all face piercing jewellery, rings, necklaces and bracelets.
Regulations backed by the LEA and DfES state that all jewellery, including ear studs, must be removed for PE lessons.
Jeans, tracksuit bottoms or leisure trousers with logos or loose trimmings are not allowed. Students must wear plain black trousers or skirts.

All students must have the correct kit for every PE lesson otherwise they must borrow school kit.
Other Equipment
All students must bring a school planner, a pen, pencil and ruler to every lesson.
All students should have a suitable bag in which to transport books, folders and PE kit to and from school.
Mobile phones must be switched off in school and kept in bags or pockets. Jewellery and mobile phones will be taken from students who do not obey the rules. They must be collected by a parent or responsible adult.
