Thrybergh Sports Centre re-opens to the Community of Thrybergh and the General Public
6th October 2008 saw the management of Thrybergh Sports Centre come under the control of Thrybergh School & Sports College. Since then part of the centre has been closed to allow us to carryout a number of refurbishments.
On the 28th November 2008 Thrybergh Sports Centre was officially re-opened by the Mayor of Rotherham and will provide a range of services to both the school and Thrybergh Community.
As part of the Specialist College Status that the School achieved in September 2008, we have converted the squash court in to a boulder room as well as adding a lead climbing wall to the main sports hall. In addition to this we have fully refurbished the upper floor to provide a fully equipped, air conditioned fitness suite with a range of Cardio and Weight Training Equipment to suit every need. Downstairs is a fully air conditioned, sprung floor, mirrored dance studio that is available for hire for dance, yoga and aerobic classes. On the upper floor we have the Pure Beauty Salon. |
