The Year 11 Prom was held at Carlton Park Hotel on 17th June 2010. The prom was hosted my Mrs Oliver and Mr Palmer and the theme for the venue and staff was black and gold. Students looked fantastic in a rainbow of colours and arrived in an array of transport including limousines, classic cars and sports cars.
Students sat down to a three course meal and were later entertained by a multi-title holder freestyle dancer. The guest speaker was Stephen D Smith, local celebrity solicitor and author. Stephen Smith presented a number of trophies and awards to Year 11 students.

Students nominated Mr Harrison for the Grumpiest Teacher of the Year, and Mrs Hunter as the Happiest Teacher of the Year. Ironically Mrs Hunter and Mr Harrison shared a Year 11 Form and according to their students, the mix of 'good cop'/ 'bad cop' personalities worked well!
Students nominated a King and Queen of the Prom and this award went to Sam Sindall and Luke Carr.
Staff at Thrybergh School and Sports College would like to say a BIG thank you to Mr Walker from FreeSpirit Dance School for arranging for Libby Griffiths (age 10) to perform at the Year 11 Prom. Libby is a multi-title holder in Freestyle Dance - currently a World and British Champion Finalist.
Mrs Oliver would like to say a BIG thank you to Mr Palmer for his dedication in transporting the balloons safely back to school for the Year 11 Leavers Assembly.
