We sum up our aims for the school in one simple statement,

We want to send every young person into the world able and qualified to play their full part in it.

There are clearly two key words in this statement, able and qualified

Able We want all the students in our school to acquire the skills they will need in the adult world and to develop into well rounded citizens.

Qualified However, we make no apologies for putting a great deal of emphasis on helping all our students get the best qualifications they can get. At GCSE we see a minimum of 5 A*-C as an important target for all those students who have the potential to achieve that level. We expect every student to be aiming high; if a student is capable of an A*, then an A is not good enough.
