Wednesday Afternoon Group (WAG)
Every Wednesday afternoon staff from the school and from Thrybergh Community Learning Partnership host a parents’ group in the Youth Centre here at TSSC.

The group has grown from strength to strength and has had a very successful year of activities and courses including digital photography, aromatherapy, healthy lifestyles, Christmas crafts and reflexology. Other services within the LA have been invited along to the group. Lisa Morris, the educational psychologist, delivered a session to the group called the ‘Feel Good Factor’. The group have also been out on day trips to Thrybergh Country Park and Wentworth Farm & Garden Centre.
As a group we are looking forward to the New Year where we will be continuing with many more organized activities, days out and courses.

Here’s what a few parents have to say:
“I have enjoyed the course, it has made a massive improvement in my confidence. I’ve enjoyed meeting everyone, I’ve learned new skills and would like to thank all the staff who helped to get this project going” – Gail Bagley
“I’ve enjoyed socialising with different people and learning new skills I didn’t know I had! Looking forward to the next challenge and getting away from mundane things” – Dawn Cutts
“I have really enjoyed the course and am looking forward to the following courses. I was made to feel very welcome” – S Harvey
"I’ve enjoyed this course as it has got me out of the house. I’ve enjoyed meeting different people and enjoyed time out on my own as there has been a child minder there taking care of my 2 children who did a fantastic job. A big thankyou to all the staff as this has been a great experience” – Kelly Bagley
“I’ve really enjoyed all the sessions, I’ve learned new skills and made new friends.” Andrea Martin
