Enterprise Success for Students
A small group of students staffed by year 7/8 children and managed by three Y10 students have been involved in the governments Enterprise initiative.
They are hoping to bring the profit made from their acrylic designs into the technology department to improve lessons for students; 10% of the money made is given to charity (British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research).

All the students are initially set on with design and manufacture. They are introduced to data processing for stock control and accounting on a rotational basis.

The project works mainly with Acrylic to produce a wide array of products from simple key rings to the very popular custom made clocks.

Students involved learn about what they will have to deal with when they leave school and become employees. The experience they gain through this enterprise will not only help them when they leave school but also contributes towards lessons; having more of an understanding of the software they are using and will be using in later years.

The next phase of development will be an advertising campaign and web page construction which we hope will be linked to the school website. We also have an email address tcsplastic.enterprise@rgfl.org which we check regularly for orders.
