Special Educational Needs Provision
The school has a Learning Support Team of specialist teachers and teaching assistants. The Learning Support Team is based in an area which includes teaching, administration and meeting facilities.

The Learning Support Team provides supportive help for children experiencing difficulties - learning difficulties, specific learning difficulties, emotional and behavioural difficulties and sensory impairments. The team of Learning Mentors works closely with the Learning Support Team.

Providing Support in School
The school has a staged process for identifying children with special educational needs, planning and providing support to address their needs and review their progress. This process is based on the Special Needs Code of Practice. The first two stages, School Action and School Action Plus, are school based. Statements of Special Educational Needs are managed by the LA. Moving through these stages brings increasing expertise and support to help with the difficulties experienced by the child.

The Learning Support Team value the knowledge and experience of parents. We area committed to working in partnership with parents.
