Community joins in with the school’s festivities
Our christmas fair, this year, will have a huge impact on the school. Students are working together with the local community, to raise funds
for our school.

Mr. Donnelly believes, “The fair is an important event, at the heart of the community. It is important to get everyone involved in school events”.

We have the ‘Friends of Thrybergh Group’ which invites parents to get involved with our school and help with activities. We would also like local businesses to get involved and become sponsors. We would like our school to be a local ambassador for our community”.

The money from the fair will go towards school rewards trips. We are planning a trip to a theme park, next April, to reward students who are constantly well behaved, good attenders and who always put 100% effort into all aspects of school life.

In the future, we are arranging a Valentine’s disco for Year 7 & 8 and holding an additional summer fair in July. More events will follow and we welcome the local community to be a part of all events at our school.

Our school is continuing to intergrate into the local community, forming a positive link with parents, residents and local businesses. This aim is very important to both pupils and staff at Thrybergh School and Sports College.
