Technology
The pupils were involved in a 4 week project to make medieval trebuchets, tabards, banquet food and coats of arms.
Pupils worked in groups or individually to create a product dependant upon which technology carousel area they were in.
The activity day included half a day at the castle with participation activities and a tour of the ruins. A medieval snack of soup made by students was offered to all.
Say Two productions came into school and based their ‘Theatre in Education’ work on Medieval Britain.
Humanities:
In History the students studied medieval times inc. 1066 Battle of Hastings, Black death, Domesday Book and peasants' life stories.
This years fun with staff entering in to the spirit of things.
