MISSION STATEMENT

Our Aims
It is our aim at Trinity Croft to provide an education rooted in the gospel values and in the teachings and traditions of the Church of England. This is reflected in our celebration of liturgy, prayer and worship. It should be evident in relationships based upon love and respect for others and in awareness and acknowledgement of the needs and potential of all in the school.

It is upon this foundation that we aim:
  • to provide a broad and balanced curriculum.

  • to nurture a positive self-image in children and so encourage them to grow spiritually, emotionally and intellectually.

  • to provide opportunities for children to create and share whilst extending their skills, ideas, knowledge and understanding, of their world.

  • to give children the chance to identify with and contribute to the wider community by developing, their sense of social awareness and to take increasing responsibility for their own learning, actions and attitudes.

  • to provide a positive attitude to standards of behaviour and moral values.

  • to encourage enjoyment of education within a safe and caring environment.

Within this framework it is our aim to enrich the intellectual awareness of our children by:

  • giving them the opportunity of extending their sensory skills by providing them with a wide variety of creative materials.

  • encouraging them to understand their physical environment and to help them to interpret it by exploring and evaluating through first-hand experiences.

  • encouraging within them an appreciation for their physical development through expressive movement, ability skills and games.

  • developing their literacy through the promotion of their oral, reading and writing, skills by practising them across the curriculum.

  • encouraging an appreciation for mathematics by extending their skills, knowledge and understanding and by applying mathematical thinking to problems in other areas of the curriculum.

  • offering children diverse opportunities to lead and share in worshipping God together in ways which are both meaningful and joyful.

We will, further, endeavour to build a caring and supporting partnership between school, home, parish and the wider community, so strengthening an atmosphere of trust and friendship in the service of God.
