On 6th October 2008 the sports centre was handed over to Thrybergh School and Sports College. Since that date there have been many alterations to centre, a beauty suite has been created for Beauty Therapy, all products are Dermalogica with consultations up to 6pm on an evening.

The once squash court has been transformed to a state of the art boulder room facility, designed for single and group climbing. A fitness suite with both Technogym and Precor equipment is now all on the first floor offering competitive membership prices and gym programmes. On the ground floor there is now a Dance Studio that is mirrored throughout, the studio is also ideal for a meeting room throughout the day or on an evening.

The four court long sports hall now has a 5 lane climbing wall; this has helped in the school specialist bid and will be a major factor in the schools Outdoor Education module.
