Daisie is driven by the desire to see learners succeed and reach their full potential. She knows that the quality of education plays a critical role in shaping the futures of learners, and she is committed to making a positive impact in this area.
With her expertise in quality compliance management, Daisie is able to identify areas for improvement and implement effective strategies to achieve better outcomes. She is a collaborative team player who works closely with colleagues to ensure that everyone is aligned in their efforts to achieve the best possible results for learners.

I am a passionate senior social value advisor. Currently working in rail sector, but have experience within construction and social housing. School Engagement, STEM engagement, Encouraging Young Talent, Volunteering, Community Engagement and partnership working. Tracking, measurement and reporting.
I have been involved in school governance since 2012 (Chair at a primary in Doncaster) as well as vice chair at Thrybergh.
I am passionate about education and the start this gives your next generation. Have had direct experience of what happens when young people haven’t had what they need and the resulting challenges they face.
Amanda Devlin

I have worked within local community roles within South Yorkshire for the last 30 years. Mainly in Employment and Wellbeing as well as identifying training solutions for Employers. I am currently a Health and Wellbeing Manager for an Employment Service in the Barnsley Community. We support people in work and looking for work that have health barriers both physical and mental. I am a qualified Careers Advisor and Trainer who also holds general Management Qualifications.
All my working life has involved in Empowering and Enabling local people to live their best lives, alongside gaining knowledge and access to local provision. For a number of years I was also an In Custody Careers Advisor, working with prisoners across 4 Doncaster prisons due for release.
I have completed many courses over the years to enhance my overall knowledge of Safeguarding, Autism, Mental Health, Challenging Behaviour and Counselling, plus many others to understand how life can mould people.
I feel there is a real connection with the adults using community services today and their past years, which has led to them reaching out for support currently. I am hoping that I can use some of these real life experiences to ensure that we can create a strong link of community support knowledge for pupils leaving education and entering the local community after their education.

What does the Governing Body do?
The work of the Governing Body is carried out for one purpose only: to give the children the best possible start in their school life, by providing the finest in terms of the education they receive. The Governing Body is made up of the Headteacher, and members of the school community and wider Wickersley Partnership Trust where possible.
The Governors work closely with the Headteacher and meet regularly. Decisions are democratic, with all governors being given as much information as possible to aid them in that decision-making process, ensuring lively often lengthy and healthy discussions prior to decision making. Their work is focused around teaching and learning and in ensuring the school is offering the best possible values for its pupils. The position of school governor is a voluntary one, but it demands a high level of commitment, both in time and responsibility, as the decisions made directly affect the children.
The Governors have legal duties, powers and responsibilities, they can only act together, they cannot act as individuals.
Governors are appointed to help:

Wickersley Partnership Trust encompasses 13 schools across Rotherham and Gainsborough. It exists to further the interests of the young people it serves.
Becoming a School Governor can have a positive impact on the young people in your local community and help to drive school improvement. A Local Governing Body plays an integral role in a school’s success; working together with senior school leadership and guiding their strategic direction.
