I believe that educators need to unlock an enjoyment for learning to develop happy, confident pupils who are ready and prepared for every stage of their educational journey. Quality teaching and learning is at the heart of this success and can ensure progress and accomplishment. I have worked at Thrybergh for many years and started my career here as a newly qualified teacher. I have had many different roles including Head of PE, Head of Year, Head of Faculty (PE), Assistant Head and now Vice Principal 3-14. My interests include most sports and in particular Netball. I love to travel and visit new places in England and abroad. I also love to read when I have time!

I believe that what shapes us as adults starts with our first experiences and early encounters in life. The choices we make, and the learning and support we are given, form the firm foundations that our dreams, aspirations and successes are built on. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach, train and lead learners of all age groups, across all Key Stages, within local 6th Form College, Secondary and Primary Schools. I feel privileged to now teach and support children in KS1 and across our Through School - helping to develop their love of learning and character development. My interests include following bands at concerts and festivals. I love anything retro, kitsch and vintage - especially my classic VW Splitscreen Campervan.

I believe that every child should have the opportunity to succeed and achieve their dreams. It is my job to help and support them to do this. I have been teaching for nearly 10 years in Rotherham primary schools. I have taught in all year groups but the majority of my experience is in Upper Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6. I enjoy spending time with my family, walking my two dogs and visiting new places. I play the cornet for a brass band and I am a member of a dance school. My favourite style of dancing is Tap.

Every child has the right to achieve from whatever their starting point may be. However, to achieve, children need to have the self-belief. I feel I encourage every child to succeed and celebrate all successes. I studied BA Hons Primary Education for four years at Nottingham Trent University. I have spent all of my ten years teaching in all of the year groups within Key Stage 2. Three years ago, I joined Foljambe Primary Campus as a Literacy lead. My role has now developed into the leader of Key Stage 2. I enjoy going on days out with my daughter on my days off. I also enjoy walking my two dogs, travelling, socialising with friends and reading.
