Teaching Assistant Level II (ALL CAMPUSES)

Band D 8.30-3.30pm 32.5hrs term time £12,755 per year

The governors, staff and students of Thrybergh Academy are looking to appoint an outstanding and committed professional to join our vibrant, growing Through School. The post is based on both the Foljambe Campus  and the Thrybergh Campus working with students aged 6-16 years old.

Thrybergh Academy is Rotherham’s only Through School, situated on both the Foljambe Primary Campus and the Thrybergh Secondary Campus. Our aim is to provide an outstanding seamless education to students from 3 -16. We believe strongly in providing our students with nothing less than the best provision in order to equip them for a successful future ahead. Our Foljambe Primary Campus is a small, unique campus. We have a close family ethos to our work and as such enjoy a wonderfully supportive and collaborative environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an enthusiastic, self-motivated and caring person
  • Can work alongside class teachers with individual students and small groups to improve their learning and achievement
  • Has recent experience in a school environment working with children and/or teaching assistant qualifications although this is not vital for application
  • Has good literacy and numeracy skills 
  • Can drive between the two sites – own transport would be advantageous

Your main roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the teaching and learning within the setting
  • Assisting the ongoing assessment of a group of children
  • Supporting students with wide ranging needs including those with physical disabilities
  • Assisting in the setting up and maintaining of the classroom
  • Attending team meetings when required
