Foundation Stage 2 Go Wild!

Foundation stage 2 have been on a class visit to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park as part of their ‘Wild Things topic’. The trip enabled us to really bring the topic to life and consolidate learning. The children loved seeing the animals, and thoroughly enjoyed learning about how the animals live and are cared for. The children looked closely at similarities and differences between the animals, their habitats and how living in the Wildlife Park differs from living in the wild. The children were amazed at how big and beautiful the animals are and are already asking when we can go back!

The children behaved exceptionally well and were an asset to our school. Well done!

This week we are celebrating National School Meals with a special menu being served at both Foljambe and Thrybergh campuses - menu below. Anyone in receipt of the following benefits is entitled to Free School Meals so please do apply if you are eligible.  Even if your child is in Foundation 2 and receives a free school lunch it is important to complete the relevant paperwork as each application provides so much more for the child than just the meal - take a look at our information page for more details.

Eligible Benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Job Seekers' Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
