Thrybergh EiC AZ is a Community Learning Partnership funded by the Government’s Excellence in Cities initiative (EiC) The seven strands of EiC are: Action Zones, City Learning Centres, Specialist Schools, Beacon Schools, Learning Mentors, Pupil Support Units and Gifted & Talented provision.
The Thrybergh Community Learning Partnership covers the Thrybergh, Dalton and part of East Herringthorpe area and also works closely with the Clifton Action Zone.
The primary aim of our AZ is to provide additional support to its schools to raise attainment and achievement for all pupils. We seek to widen opportunities and provide resources, training and support to our schools and deliver an agreed yearly action plan.
The three main priorities are:-
Learning Skills
Raising levels of literacy (Speaking, Reading and Writing), Numeracy and ICT (Computer skills and use)
Curriculum development and innovation
Managing and developing the curriculum continuum allowing smooth progress through the 4 key stages. Developing a Performing and Creative Arts focus.
Widening Opportunities and Inclusion
Providing pupils with a range of additional enrichment activities. Increasing parental involvement. Impacting positively on behaviour and attendance.
