    Welcome to our Foundation class

RGFL Internet Access
 

In foundation this term we are looking at Fairy Tales and Traditional tales. We will be going for walks in the local area –Will we find the Troll under the bridge? In science we will be investigating changes –What happens to porridge when we add water?

 
Foundation We will also be learning about toys, finding out how they work, what they are made of etc. We will be looking at toys from the past and new ones.

 Sessions Times
 Morning: 9.00 am to 11.30 am  
 
 Afternoon: 1.45 pm to 3.15 pm  
 Reception age children will stay for lunch 11.30 a.m. to 12.45 p.m.  
 
Students and Teaching Assistants will also work in the Foundation Stage Class. We also appreciate and welcome any help given to us by parents.
 
Foundation
 
The Foundation Stage Class has places for 52 children providing part time and full time education.
The following dates will help you to see at which age your child will begin Part Time school (Nursery) and Full Time school (Reception).
 

Full Time School

If your child is 5 between: 1st September and 31st August He/she will start school in September, after the summer holiday.
 

Part Time School

If your child is 4 between: 1st September and 31st August He/she will start school in September or October, after the summer holiday.
 

General Routines

Tick We provide the children with fruit and a drink of milk each day.In addition to this we also bake with the children. We ask that you
give 50p per week towards the cost.
   
Tick If someone other than a parent is to pick up your child please let the staff know.
   
Tick A person over 16 must collect your child
   
Tick You and your child may choose a book from our lending library. You need to enter the title of the book chosen, the date and your child’s name in the book provided.
   
Tick Your child can join the Royal Bank of Scotland (please see a member of staff).
   
Tick If your child is unable to attend school for any reason please try to informa member of staff by ringing into school on 850569 on the morning of absence. If you do not contact school we may telephone you to find out why your child is absent.
